Social media is going insane over the release of Simi’s new Ep. Earlier today, Simi released her highly anticipated new 6- track Ep “RestlessII”. She promised and she duly delivered. Simi came back to the scene with some real source. The artist’s new release had an interesting blend of Afro beat and R&B to really aid her different messages. She features UK rapper Ms Banks, Nigerian singer WurlD along with her husband Adekunle Gold. To add the icing on the cake, the Afrobeat star dropped the official video of her Ep’s lead single “No Longer Beneficial”.
The remarkable visuals were directed my Gizelle Hernandez, a photographer and director who is known for her collaborations with Jenifer Lopez, Jhene Kiko and Lena Waithe. Her video with Simi just works. The aesthetic composition has an amazing blend between Simi’s sweet vocals and her visual representation. The seductive atmosphere opens up Simi’s world to the listeners as she lets the persona in her song know that her decision not to be romantically involved, should be respected.
