Nigerian singer Chike has publicly accused a woman identified as Chioma Nneoma Ochibili of defrauding him of $20,000 through an alleged fake business deal.

The “Boo of the Booless” crooner shared the Chike fraud allegation in a late-night thread on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, March 16. In the posts, the singer warned the public about the situation. He also alleged that the total amount taken from multiple victims could be as high as $50,000.

According to the singer, what first appeared to be a legitimate investment later turned out to be a coordinated scheme.

Chike shared the woman’s full name and photograph online. He explained that his intention was to prevent other potential investors from falling victim to the same tactics. The singer also noted that he is pursuing the recovery of his funds through legal channels while raising public awareness about the alleged fraud.

During the thread, Chike posted several candid statements about the situation.

“Chioma Nneoma Ochibili? So you are a thief? That’s how they do. They will tell you they are doing certain business. Her business is to survive on your money. If you know this girl and she has your money, ask her for it. Just try. If you on the pipeline to give her your money, run oooooo. Don’t do it.”

He later clarified the details of the dispute and stressed that the issue goes beyond the amount of money involved.

“Do not get distracted. The focus is not about the amount of money. Whatever business Chioma sells to you is not the issue. The big issue here is that the business does not even exist, which then equates to fraud. For context, it was a business transaction, but when the business does not even exist that becomes fraud. She will lie to her entire family even at gunpoint.”

The Chike fraud allegation quickly generated reactions online. Many fans expressed support for the singer, while others asked for additional details about the business deal.

As of press time, Chioma Nneoma Ochibili has not issued a public statement or responded to the allegations.
