Afrobeats icon Davido has released “I Know Who I Be,” the lead single from his forthcoming sixth studio album, Oriadé.
The song arrived on June 26, 2026, featuring South African producers JAZZWRLD and GL_Ceejay, and serves as the first taste of Oriadé, out July 31, 2026 via Davido Music Worldwide and Sony Music Entertainment.
Derived from the Yoruba words “ori” (destiny) and “adé” (crown), Oriadé marks Davido’s 15th year in the music industry, and “I Know Who I Be” reflects on the journey that carried him to his standing as one of Africa’s biggest stars.
The record blends Afrobeats with dance-floor-focused production, exploring themes of self-knowledge, perseverance, and the confidence that comes from understanding one’s purpose.
The accompanying music video, directed by Dammy Twitch, returns Davido to the childhood home where his musical journey began, featuring cameos from longtime collaborators and members of his team.
“I Know Who I Be” spent multiple weeks at No. 1 on Nigeria’s Top 100 chart, giving Davido another major hit as he builds toward Oriadé and a world tour expected to follow the album’s release.
