Nigeria’s music scene is about to experience something exciting as rising star Eleas Modelà steps into the spotlight. Known off-stage as Victoria Onozasi Ajimah, this multi-talented artist is getting ready to release her debut single titled Jo fun mi (Dance for Me). But this isn’t just another track—it marks the beginning of a bold new genre called Classical Afro Pop.

Eleas has created a unique fusion that blends Afropop rhythms with the structure and elegance of classical and operatic music. Her sound is both fresh and deeply rooted in African culture. Jo fun mi, sung in both English and Yoruba, brings a message of joy and freedom. Eleas says it best: “It is a vibrant, uplifting anthem that invites listeners to let go of their worries, move their bodies, and embrace happiness.”

The timing of this release couldn’t be more powerful. Many Nigerians are facing tough times, and Jo fun mi offers an escape. It reminds people of the importance of rest, dance, and human connection. “Everyone is working hard, trying to survive,” Eleas says. “But life is not only about struggle. We need to laugh, we need to dance, we need to breathe.”

Although this is her debut single, Eleas is no newcomer to music. She is classically trained and has experience in genres like opera, Broadway, sacred music, and highlife. Her strong foundation helps her create music that feels both modern and timeless.

With Jo fun mi, she is not just introducing a song—she’s sharing a vision. She believes African music can grow by blending tradition with global styles. Eleas is also preparing to collaborate with top Nigerian artists like Davido, Adekunle Gold, Olamide, and Patoranking. These upcoming projects will help her reach even wider audiences.

Jo fun mi will be available on all major streaming platforms in the coming days. The music video is also on the way, along with plans for live performances and tours. Eleas Modelà is not just on the rise—she’s creating a legacy.
