#EndSars protest has made a lot of progress around Nigeria especially in Lagos. The protesters are organized and doing their best to keep the protest peaceful despite the aggressive response they have received from the police. However, their resilience has come at a price; some youths have died due to gunshots by the Nigerian police. Unarmed young men and women have lost their lives due to this protest.

To uphold a united front, the protesters held a candle light procession on Friday the 16th of October, in memory of our fallen heroes. The sessions where held in Lagos, Abuja, Ibadan, Yenagoa and Port Harcourt. It featured instrumentals along with the chants “END SARS” written on their placards.

Nigerian musicians lent their voices on twitter. Peter Okoye said “Candlelight for our #EndPoliceBrutality fallen heroes! God bless their souls! We move!” @iAmNiyiola said ““RIP to our fallen heroes. Tonight and always we celebrate you. #EndsSARSNOW.” @SAMKLEF also added “Heal naija and make it a better place.   May all our fallen heroes keep resting in peace.”
