Nollywood actor Gideon Okeke has issued a heartfelt apology to fans, colleagues, and the industry while opening up about a dark chapter in his long-running feud with fellow actor Jim Iyke.
In an emotional video posted on Instagram, Gideon said he was sorry for his recent public outbursts. “I want to apologise to anybody who cares remotely about me or my work,” he said. He admitted that his recent actions were out of character, especially with the renewed interest in his feud following the release of Jim Iyke’s film Sin on Prime Video.

Though remorseful, Gideon stood firm on a shocking allegation. He claimed that on January 18, 2024, Jim Iyke allegedly attempted to harm him with a firearm during a heated incident on a film set. He said, “Without being adamant, I respectfully maintain that an obituary wouldn’t have been fair on me either if Jim Iyke had succeeded in using that gun he wanted to use on the 18th of January.”
Gideon Okeke also mentioned that several people witnessed the alleged altercation but have chosen to remain silent. He didn’t mention names but expressed disappointment in their silence. He added that the matter was reported to the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), and that September 26, 2025, would make it a full year since he filed his complaint—with no response.
Despite the seriousness of his claims, Gideon made it clear he wants peace moving forward. He ended his message with a promise to let go of the issue, saying, “I will cease and desist from now. I am sorry. I mean it. Pardon me. Forgive me. Point is made.”
