Ice Prince has shared how he feels about the way people treat him. The Nigerian rapper said many people disrespect him despite all he has achieved. He spoke about this during an interview on the Tea With Tay podcast.

Ice Prince, whose real name is Panshak Henry Zamani, said he has done great things in his career. He said, “I’m the first African artist to go on the BET stage and collect the BET award.

He also revealed that he was the first African artist to appear on The Breakfast Club. That is one of the top radio shows in the United States. He added that he once did a deal with Jay Z.

Even with these achievements, Ice Prince feels people still look down on him. He said, “I have done so much for Nigeria and Africa, but people always disrespect or sleep on me. I don’t make music for accolades or respect.”

He shared that titles do not move him. He does not care about being called a legend, king, or OG. In his words, “You see all these titles like ‘Legend,’ ‘King,’ ‘OG,’ etc. I don’t even like them. For me, music is beyond the accolades or awards that come with it.”

Ice Prince also spoke about leaving his record label, Chocolate City. He said he left without any drama. He added, “I am one of the only artists, probably in the world, who left his record label without any drama. Pretty much, there was drama with everybody, Jesse left with drama, and Brymo left with drama. I am not a drama person; I don’t like drama.”

For Ice Prince, music is about making songs that touch lives. He believes it is not about titles, awards, or fame but the impact his songs have on people.
