Nigerian singer Kcee wants musicians to support Nollywood more. He says they should help promote movies and work with actors. In a recent talk with Hip TV, Kcee said Nollywood stars often help musicians by sharing their songs and joining dance trends. He thinks musicians should do the same for the movie industry.
Kcee said he loves Nollywood movies and watches them only. He shared a story about a filmmaker who asked to use his song “Cultural Praise” in a movie. Kcee let her use it for free to support Nollywood. He said, “I think it’s high time we [artists] support the movie industry. For me, Kcee, those who know me know that I don’t watch any other movie apart from Nollywood. I’m so into Nollywood movies. Sometimes, a lot of people laugh at me.”

He also said musicians often invite movie stars to appear in their music videos. Some musicians even act in Nollywood movies. But Kcee said more should be done to help each other. He said artists should promote Nollywood movies on their social media. “Currently, I’m also not doing that, but we need to support them,” he added.
Kcee believes that working together will help both music and movies grow. He said, “Randomly, you see them jumping on our projects, and I think it wouldn’t be a crime if we do the same.”
Kcee’s message is clear: Nigerian musicians should support Nollywood more. This will help the whole entertainment industry in Nigeria grow stronger.
