Investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo has strongly rebutted statements made by Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, father of music star Davido, regarding the ongoing paternity dispute involving 12-year-old Anuoluwapo.
In a video response shared on January 21, 2026, Olunloyo addressed allegations that she had been impersonating the minor and her mother through unauthorized social media accounts.
Kemi Olunloyo clarified that while she did open an Instagram account for Anu, it was to facilitate fundraising and secure the child’s future.
“I opened Anu’s Instagram account and later handed over the password to her mother before leaving Nigeria,” she stated.
Olunloyo explained that she personally funded the girl’s first year of school and has been saving money in an account for her, which the minor will access upon turning 18.
She also expressed outrage at Dr. Adeleke for allegedly involving her own family in the controversy. She warned against targeting her children.
“Do not drag my children into this. I will not tolerate anyone targeting them,” Olunloyo said.
In a retaliatory claim, she alleged that Dr. Adeleke has “two autistic children” and claimed that Davido’s twins share the same condition. The singer’s aide later dismissed this assertion as “false.”
The dispute followed a press briefing in which Dr. Adeleke condemned Olunloyo’s publication of “misleading” DNA results. He accused her of using the child’s image to sustain attacks against his son. Olunloyo, however, maintains that her involvement was strictly humanitarian, aimed at helping Anu “live a good life.”
Despite threats of legal action from the Adeleke family, Olunloyo remains defiant, insisting on her version of the account management and her charitable intentions toward the child at the center of the paternity saga.
