Popular gospel singer Nathaniel Bassey has issued a stern warning to married men and single women over the consequences of extramarital affairs. He claimed that anyone involved in “secret affairs” in 2026 would face “grave danger” and public “shame.”
In a viral video addressed to a congregation, the 44-year-old minister and convener of the Hallelujah Challenge cautioned married men against deceiving young women under false pretenses. He stressed that his message was serious and that no one would escape the consequences of such actions.
“If you’re a married man and you go about deceiving young girls, leading them on. Some even go as far as sleeping with them,” Bassey stated.
“I place a demand on the grace of God upon my life. If you try it this year, you won’t survive. Your shame will not be forgotten. It will be on social media.”
Nathaniel Bassey specifically warned men who lie about their marital status to arrange secret meetings in hotels.
“If you take a woman to a hotel, you lie; meanwhile, if you are married, you will not come out of that hotel. If you like, take what I’m saying jokingly,” he added.
Bassey also addressed women who knowingly enter relationships with married men for financial or material benefits. He suggested that material possessions would not protect them from consequences.
“You too, you are a lady. If you know that a man is married and you know it in your heart, but because of greed, attention, Brazilian wigs, Brazilian hair, or designer bags, you choose to go ahead — if you try it, you won’t survive it,” he warned.
He concluded by urging both men and women to uphold moral values and act with integrity in their relationships.
