Shortly after the song started trending, the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) banned it. They said the song was “objectionable” and went against the Nigeria Broadcasting Code. As a result, it can no longer be aired on TV or radio in the country.

He promised to fund the rapper’s message “underground” and even offered him N200 million. However, Eedris said he immediately sensed it was a setup. He refused the money and dismissed the caller.
He also mocked the caller, asking whether the video he shot was sponsored by them. The rapper ended the conversation by making it clear that he is not for sale.
