Nigerian singer and songwriter Omah Stanley Didia, better known as Omah Lay, has revealed why he is not ready to embrace fatherhood yet. In a series of candid posts on Snapchat, the “Understand” crooner reflected on his current mindset, confidence, and relationships while subtly taking a jab at his industry peers.
Omah Lay expressed that he enjoys peace and contentment at this stage of his life, saying he feels spiritually elevated and untouchable. He also described himself as “their father in the highest,” suggesting that while he might not have children yet, he sees himself as a leader and pacesetter among his colleagues.
“I’m very much not ready to be a baby daddy, but I’m their father, their father in the highest, at peace in heaven blowing clean Canada,” he wrote. “Everything happens, but nothing ever happens to me. I miss my Yoruba girl bad. I like them, but when e too plenty, e dey turn me off. Yeah, I got no girls. It has become a boring activity of late.”
Through his reflective tone, Omah Lay hinted that he prioritizes self-growth and inner peace over fleeting pleasures or societal expectations.
Omah Lay’s remarks reveal a more introspective side of the Afrobeats star. While many fans await new music and personal milestones, the singer makes it clear that his current focus lies in peace, clarity, and mastering his path before stepping into fatherhood.
