Nollywood actress Ruth Kadiri has shared why she keeps her marriage private. Speaking on Dear Ife, the filmmaker said she and her husband agreed to keep their relationship away from the public.
Their 2019 wedding was quiet, with only 50 guests. Ruth explained it was exactly how they wanted it, as they did not want any drama.
“I invited only 50 people to my wedding. It was what we both wanted. I didn’t want any drama around my relationship,” she said.
Ruth Kadiri said keeping her marriage private has strengthened their bond without outside influence. Her husband, who is not in the entertainment industry, prefers a simple life and avoids attention.
“For clarity, my husband is not a secret. People who know me, know him, and that’s enough,” she added.
She explained she isn’t hiding him; he just doesn’t live publicly like she does. The couple now has two daughters, and Ruth believes true love is about peace, respect, and understanding without seeking public approval.
