Movie producer and social commentator Stanley Ontop has been arrested and detained at the State Criminal Investigation Department in Delta State. Although authorities have not released an official statement on the charges, reports from LIB indicate that actress Queeneth Hilbeth filed the petition that triggered his arrest. The specific details of the petition remain undisclosed, but the development marks a new escalation in the long-running conflict between Ontop and Hilbeth.
Their feud reportedly began after allegations surfaced involving Nollywood actress Destiny Etiko. Hilbeth accused Etiko of “snatching” a man she claimed to have dated for five years. Ontop countered her claims by asserting that the man was actually married. He also alleged that Hilbeth accused Etiko of misconduct after Etiko offered her financial help during a difficult period.
As tensions rose, Ontop publicly made serious allegations against Hilbeth, including claims of drug use and other inappropriate behavior. Hilbeth responded by sharing a medical report on her Instagram story to refute the drug-related accusations. However, Ontop questioned the report’s authenticity, further fueling online debates.
Meanwhile, Hilbeth has been involved in additional legal turmoil. Actress Destiny Etiko filed a ₦100 million defamation lawsuit against her. Hilbeth also claimed that police attempted to arrest her at Etiko’s request, calling the attempt unlawful.
