Doris Simeon, born on July 22, 1979, is a celebrated Nigerian actress, entrepreneur, compere, and hairdresser. Known for her versatility, she has excelled in both Yoruba and English-language films. A proud Lagos-based businesswoman, she is the founder and CEO of Davris Beauty Centre, located in Ifako, Lagos.
Career
Doris initially aimed for a career in broadcast journalism. However, her path changed when a friend encouraged her to attend an audition at Wale Adenuga Productions. She secured a cameo role in the hit sitcom Papa Ajasco and appeared in three episodes, marking her entry into Nollywood.
From there, Doris Simeon began building a strong acting career. She featured in several acclaimed movies including Oloju Ede, Alakada, Modupe Temi, Ten Million Naira, and Eti Keta. In 2010, she portrayed Da Grin’s girlfriend in the biopic Ghetto Dreamz and later co-produced the movie Omo Iya Kan. Actor and director Yomi Ogunmola gave her her first substantial film role, which launched her into stardom.
Over the years, she has acted in over 100 films, earning a reputation for her natural screen presence and ability to perform seamlessly in both Yoruba and English productions. Beyond acting, Doris has worked as a television show host and master of ceremonies.
Doris Simeon was formerly married to producer and director Daniel Ademinokan, with whom she shares a son, David. The couple separated in 2010. Outside of acting, Doris continues to grow her beauty business and remains a visible figure in the entertainment and lifestyle space.
