Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Davido has revealed his ambition to collaborate with international music sensation Rihanna, sparking excitement among fans eager for a potential global hit. The revelation came during a livestream with popular streamer and singer Carter Efe on the Twitch platform, where Davido discussed the artists he would most like to feature in his music.
When asked about collaborations, Davido singled out Rihanna, expressing his admiration for her talent and confidence that the duo could produce remarkable music together. “I would definitely love to do a song with Rihanna … I think me and Rihanna would make some dope music,” he said, highlighting the creative chemistry he envisions between them.
Beyond Rihanna, Davido also expressed interest in working with American singer Kehlani as well as his Nigerian peers Tems, Ayra Starr, and Morravey, underlining his enthusiasm for both international and local collaborations. “And also my colleagues, Tems, Ayra, and Morravey as well,” he added, emphasising his commitment to promoting and partnering with fellow Nigerian talent.
The comments follow the viral sensation of an AI-generated song that featured vocals resembling both Rihanna and Davido, fueling fan speculation about how an official collaboration might sound.
