Bimbo Ademoye has resolved a copyright dispute that temporarily disrupted monetization on her viral YouTube film, Where Love Lives. The Nollywood actress and filmmaker announced the victory on January 26, 2026, after a false claim led to the movie being demonetized despite crossing 18 million views.

The claim was filed by an individual identified as Emmanuel Davies, who alleged unauthorized use of a soundtrack. However, Ademoye maintained that she held full legal rights to the music, which was originally created by singer Ugoccie. With the support of her legal team and fans, the claim was eventually lifted.

In an emotional celebration, Ademoye thanked her supporters and credited divine intervention.

“God don’t play about me, that’s how I know he’s real. I’m kicking my feet in the air like a little child. It’s giving ‘play with her and you’d incur the wrath of her cyber family.’ I love you guys so much.”

She also revealed how deeply the situation affected her mental and emotional well-being.

“If I didn’t pick your calls, please don’t be offended, just the word ‘hello’ had me in tears, and my head was banging from crying.”

Earlier, Ademoye had issued a firm warning to the claimant, insisting that she had paid for all music used in her films.

“I pay for all the soundtracks I use in my movies. Why one person would wake up one day, steal my song and claim it to be his own, I don’t know. But this is me saying, Emmanuel Davies, until I see you behind bars, I will not rest.”

While this particular case has now been settled, Ademoye revealed that she is pursuing a separate legal battle over another film, To Be a Friend. The actress said she refused an out-of-court settlement in that case and wants the matter fully resolved in court.

“I don’t want to settle out of court, darling. You started it by making me lose a movie at 6 million views. Now I want to finish it with final words from a judge.”
