Lagos-based brand influencer and businesswoman King Mitchy has credited entertainer Nasboi for orchestrating her public apology to activist Verydarkman (VDM), Seyi Tinubu, and the Ooni of Ife.
In a follow-up statement released on Sunday, March 15, 2026, King Mitchy addressed doubts about the sincerity of her de-escalation efforts.
“I never felt the need to come out,” she stated, explaining that Nasboi intervened to mediate the situation. According to the influencer, Nasboi handled the entire production and rollout of the apology:
“He told me what to say, shot the video, and posted it, giving me reasons for it, which I saw some sense in,” she added.
The apology followed a messy online dispute in which King Mitchy was accused of using a school renovation project in Delta State as a political decoy. The feud escalated when she shared private interactions with the Ooni of Ife and publicly sparred with Verydarkman.
“It was never a decoy or anything political,” she stated, maintaining the move was strictly for peace.
Despite the coordination by Nasboi, Verydarkman dismissed the gesture.
He labeled the apology “politically motivated and not sincere.” In a video response, he issued a stern warning to the public regarding his safety, asserting that Nigerians should hold King Mitchy and Seyi Tinubu responsible “if anything happened to him.”
The development has sparked additional criticism from fans, with many questioning the influencer’s decision to involve Nasboi publicly. While the apology aimed to restore order, ongoing exchanges suggest the rift remains unresolved.
