Ekama Etim-Inyang was born on August 15, 1996, in Miami, Florida, USA, but her family originates from Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, and belongs to the Ibibio ethnic group.

Her parents raised her with strong Ibibio cultural values even while she lived abroad.
For her education, she attended schools in Nigeria during early childhood before returning to the U.S. for tertiary studies.

Ekama studied at Miami Dade College and later honed her acting skills at the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts, where she graduated with a degree in Acting for Film and Television.
