Early Life

Ken Erics was born in Kano State, Nigeria, and is the sixth of seven children in a family originally from Enugwu-Ukwu in Anambra State. Raised in a culturally rich environment, he developed a passion for the arts at a young age.

He began his education at Binta Mustapha Science Nursery and Primary School in Kano and later attended Dennis Memorial Grammar School in Onitsha. He pursued a degree in Theatre Arts at Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Awka and went on to earn a master’s degree in Theatre and Film Studies.

Career

Ken Erics launched his acting career in 2001 while still in university. He played a minor role as a doctor in Holy Prostitute, a direct-to-DVD movie. After graduating, he actively auditioned and landed several cameo roles. His big break came in 2012 with his role in The Illiterate, which opened the doors to numerous lead roles in Nollywood.

In addition to acting, Ken Erics has written plays such as Cell 2, which academic institutions have adopted for performances and study.

He also showcases his musical talent by composing and performing original movie soundtracks, often accompanying himself on guitar and keyboard. In 2018, he released his debut single, Inozikwa Omee, to positive reception.

Ken Erics married Onyi Adada on December 28, 2017. In 2019, he also confirmed their separation, citing irreconcilable differences and emphasizing the relief the decision brought him.
