Early Life
Patrick Rupherford Doyle grew up in Lagos, Nigeria, while maintaining roots in Delta State. He attended Saint Finbarr’s College in Akoka, and as a young man, he joined Voice of Nigeria (VON), where he began honing his broadcasting skills.
Career
Doyle launched his media career in radio and television, first working with VON and later Nigeria Television Authority (NTA). He hosted Nigeria’s first late-night show, Friday Night Live, earning recognition for his on-screen charisma. Over time, he expanded into acting, writing, producing, and directing, becoming a versatile figure in Nollywood.
In films, Doyle starred in Scores to Settle (1998) and the 2014 drama Tunnel. On television, he appeared prominently in My Siblings and I.
Beyond acting, he advised media organizations as a consultant, introducing the concept of “narrative management” to guide public figures in shaping their image.
In his personal life, Doyle was married to actress Iretiola Doyle, and they raised five children together before divorcing in early 2023. Later that year, he introduced his new wife, Oluwafunmilayo, celebrating a fresh chapter in his life.
