Early Life
Zulu Adigwe was born in Enugu, Nigeria, where he spent most of his childhood before moving to Austria for his primary and secondary education. Before fully committing to acting, he studied French and German, worked as a teacher, and briefly pursued medicine. After the death of his father, Adigwe returned to Nigeria and enrolled at the University of Ibadan. There, he studied Theatre Arts and graduated with First Class Honours.
Career
Adigweโs passion for acting began at the age of seven. His first major television appearance was as Mr. B in Basi and Company. He took over the role after the original actor left the show. Under his portrayal, Mr. B was reinvented as a laid-back character who played the guitar and sang humorous songs about getting rich quick. Adigwe also performed the showโs new theme song, and in 1990, he released an album titled Mr. B Makes His Millions.
In 1991, Zulu Adigwe was part of the original cast of the television series Checkmate, playing a university lecturer in the pilot episode before the role was recast due to a location change in production. Adigweโs first film role was in Blood of the Orphan, which earned him recognition and praise. He also starred in the 2004 movie Living Abroad, alongside prominent actors of the time. His final notable role was as Pascal Nworie in Living in Bondage: Breaking Free.
