Former Big Brother Naija housemate and businesswoman, Natacha Akide, better known as Tacha, has opened up about the struggles she faced after her dramatic disqualification from the Pepper Dem edition of the reality show.
In a recent chat on Pulse Hot Takes, Tacha revealed that life after BBNaija wasn’t as glamorous as many would think. According to her, several celebrities distanced themselves from her after the incident, treating her like her career had already ended.
“A lot of celebrities didn’t want to associate with me after the disqualification. People concluded it was over for me,” she said.
But rather than let the criticism define her, Tacha decided to take control of her own story. She explained that she went back to her roots in business and content creation, steadily rebuilding her image and brand. “I was able to just pick myself back up by going back to what I know, which is making sales online, creating content, and just trying to be a better version of the Tacha of yesterday,” she added.
Despite the backlash and isolation, Tacha stood firm and refused to be broken. Today, she has carved out a solid space for herself as an entrepreneur and influencer, proving that her journey did not end with BBNaija.
When asked if she regrets her time on the reality show, the star was quick to dismiss the idea. “Absolutely not. I don’t regret anything. I try to live my life without regrets because at the end of the day there’s always a lesson to be learnt,” she concluded.
Tacha’s story is one of resilience, turning rejection into fuel for growth, and showing that a setback can be the foundation for a bigger comeback.
