Early Life

Favour Ugochi Anabelle Anosike, professionally known as Ugoccie, was born on March 6, 1997. She hails from Abia State in southeastern Nigeria and belongs to the Igbo ethnic group. Raised in a supportive household alongside her siblings, she discovered her love for music at an early age. Ugoccie began her creative journey as an on-air personality during her teenage years, where she nurtured her voice and talent.

Career

Ugoccie first gained widespread attention after her freestyle cover of Kizz Daniel’s “One Ticket” went viral. Kizz Daniel and influencer Tunde Ednut amplified her visibility by sharing the performance on their platforms. This online breakthrough opened the doors to a broader audience and industry recognition.

In 2021, Ugoccie won the Next Rated award at the Naijatraffic Awards. Her momentum continued into 2022 when her breakout single “Do You Really Like Me?” exploded on TikTok, earning her a nomination for Rookie of the Year at The Headies. That same year, she collaborated with Nigerian rap heavyweight Phyno on the track “Breakfast,” further cementing her place in the industry. She also received a nomination at the NET Honours Class of 2022.
