Early Life

Gift Ugochi Christopher, professionally known as Minister GUC, was born on October 8, 1993, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. He hails from Emuoha Local Government Area. His musical journey began in his hometown, where he and his friends formed a music group during their early years.

Career

GUC officially launched his music career in 2019 after signing with EeZee Conceptz, a gospel music label known for producing some of Nigeria’s leading gospel voices. He also joined the label’s roster alongside artists like Mercy Chinwo and Judikay.

In December 2020, he also released his debut album titled The Message, a 12-track project that included hits like All That Matters, Desperate, Yours, and God of Vengeance. The album quickly gained traction, earning him widespread recognition. By the end of 2020, GUC had also emerged as one of the most streamed gospel artists in Nigeria, topping YouTube viewership rankings for the genre.

GUC married Nkpoikana Ntuk (Nene Ntuk) in a traditional wedding on November 4, 2021, followed by their white wedding on March 6, 2021. The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter, on March 6, 2022 exactly one year after their church wedding.

Lastly, Minister GUC continues to inspire millions through his anointed worship songs, blending powerful lyrics with heartfelt delivery to bring listeners closer to God.
