Early Life
Adaeze Angel Onuigbo, popularly known as Adaeze or Ada, was born on September 2, 2008. She originates from a Local Government Area in Anambra State, Southeastern Nigeria. However, Adaeze was born and raised in Delta State, where she completed her basic education and began her acting journey.
She started acting while still in primary school and earned her First School Leaving Certificate during this time. Adaeze continues to pursue her secondary education and aims to obtain her Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE). She currently lives in Asaba, the capital of Delta State.
Career
Adaeze showed a natural interest and talent for acting from a very young age. Her mother, Oby Onuigbo, a Nollywood actress herself, recognized Adaeze’s rare talent early on and encouraged her to pursue acting professionally.
Adaeze made her acting debut at just five years old in the 2013 movie Emotional Baby. Since then, she has starred in numerous Nollywood films and worked alongside notable actors like Pete Edochie, Rita Edochie, and Mercy Johnson.
Her performance in Emotional Baby highlighted her ability to handle emotional and complex scenes, earning her praise for authenticity and strong audience connection. Adaeze has steadily built a reputation as a talented young actress with each new project.
In 2010, she won the SRTV Media Award for Most Famous Kid Actor. She also earned the title Face of Anambra Beautiful Kids in 2018, a pageant celebrating the beauty and talent of children in Anambra State. In 2022, Adaeze gained further recognition with a nomination for Favourite African Kidfluencer at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.
