Early Life
Larry Ndianefo, professionally known as Larry Gaaga, started his career in Nigeria’s entertainment industry in 2012. He managed rapper Vector’s career as General Manager of YSG Entertainment and appeared on Vector’s track “Get Down” alongside 2Baba. That same year, the Nigerian Entertainment Awards nominated him for “Entertainment Man of the Year.”
Career
Larry Gaaga rose to fame in 2017 when he collaborated with 2Baba on the hit song “Gaga Shuffle,” inspired by one of Gaaga’s signature dance moves. The artists recorded the track spontaneously within 30 minutes, and its success motivated Gaaga to pursue music professionally.
In 2018, he released several singles, collaborating with Wande Coal, Sarkodie, Davido, Burna Boy, D’banj, Base One, and DJ Neptune. He signed a record deal with Universal Music Group Nigeria and followed up with hits like “Iworiwo” with 2Baba and “Low” with Wizkid, amassing millions of views online.
Larry Gaaga produces music as CEO of Gaaga Muzik and contributed to the soundtrack for the “Living in Bondage” sequel. In 2020, he signed with Def Jam Africa and became its Vice President in 2022, also leading the A&R division across English-speaking Africa. Later that year, he formed the duo The Kabal with 2Baba and released their debut single “Mad Over Hills.” In 2023, he became Vice President and General Manager of Gamma in Africa.
