Early Life

Samuel Onwubiko, known professionally as Limoblaze, was born on October 25, 1995, in Abia State, Nigeria, and raised in Makurdi, Benue State.

Career

Limoblaze started his professional career as an independent gospel artist. His debut song “Memories” honored his high school classmates and paved the way for a string of early releases like “Grace,” “Unconditional,” and “For the King,” featuring American rapper Los.

His collaborations span a wide spectrum of notable gospel artists, including Ada Ehi, Travis Greene, and Da’ T.R.U.T.H.

His debut album Blind dropped in 2016, followed by Before Now in 2018 and Afrobeats, Raps & Jesus in 2019. He continued to grow with the Wait EP (2020) and the joint album Bridges with Da’ T.R.U.T.H. in the same year.

Limoblaze’s 2022 hit Jireh (My Provider) featuring Lecrae and Happi became a global anthem, charting internationally and earning acclaim.

In October 2022, he became the first international signee to Reach Records. In 2023, he won the ABGMA Best Afrobeat Award of the Year.

He also stands as a global voice in Afro-gospel, blending vibrant Afrobeat rhythms with faith-driven lyrics that inspire.
