Early life and education

Ayorinde Mafoluku Ayodele Popularly known as Ayo Maff was born and raised in Somolu, Bariga, Lagos State, Nigeria.

He completed his education within the same community, where his passion for music began to take shape early in life. Growing up in a vibrant environment, Ayodele drew inspiration from the sounds and culture around him, which played a significant role in shaping his musical journey.

Career

Ayo Maff made his official entry into the music scene with the release of his debut single Jama Jama in 2023. Building on that momentum, he dropped a two-track project titled STREET ANTHEM / 7 DAYS in January 2024, further showcasing his raw talent and street-inspired sound.

His big break also came with the release of Dealer, a collaborative single with Fireboy DML that quickly caught the attention of music lovers nationwide.

The song’s music video, released in April 2024, gained massive traction and has accumulated over 2.5 million views on YouTube as of February 2025.

On August 15, 2024, Ayo Maff took a major step in his career with the release of his debut extended play, Maffian.

The seven-track project features a mix of Afrobeat rhythms and introspective lyrics, with standout tracks like Last Week earning praise for their emotional depth and musical versatility.

Ayo Maff is quickly establishing himself as a rising star in the Nigerian music scene.

Also with his unique sound, authentic storytelling, and growing fanbase, he’s proving to be a promising voice in the next wave of Afrobeats talent.
