Early Life

Akintunde Abiodun Timileyin, popularly known as T.I Blaze, was born on February 16, 2000. The Nigerian singer and songwriter emerged from the streets with a voice that resonates deeply with youth facing everyday struggles.

He shot into the spotlight in 2021 with his hit single “Sometimes”, which became a major anthem in 2022. The remix featuring Olamide propelled the song to the top of Nigerian music charts and also introduced T.I Blaze to a wider audience.

Career

On February 25, 2022, T.I Blaze dropped his debut EP titled “The Fresh Prince of Lagos,” a six-track project featuring heavyweights like Olamide, Rasaqi NFG, and South African rapper Blxckie. The EP cemented his position as a new voice for the streets with soulful delivery and thought-provoking lyrics.

In addition, Apple Music named him Nigeria’s Up Next Artist in March 2022, acknowledging his growing influence. In April, he faced controversy when NDLEA raided his residence after referencing “Canadian Loud” in his lyrics—a move that sparked debate on music and censorship.

T.I Blaze also kept the momentum going with “Kilo” featuring Skiibii, which charted well and resonated with fans. His performance at the Johnnie Walker Walkers District event in Surulere added to his reputation as a dynamic stage performer.

In November 2022, he also independently released his debut album “El Major” under Dvpper Music, featuring collaborations with Bella Shmurda, Camidoh, Ladipoe, and more. The album showcased his versatility and lyrical depth.

In conclusion, He continued to impress in 2023 and 2024, performing at major events, including the Soundcity MVP Awards and the Big Steezee Event in Johannesburg, South Africa. There, he thrilled fans with performances of “Try,” “Beamer,” “Kilo,” “Sometimes (Remix),” and more, proving he’s a rising Afrobeat force with staying power.
