Early Life
Ice Prince was born in Minna, Niger State, and moved to Jos, Plateau State, at the age of two. He attended St. Murumba College and Science Tutorial College in Jos.
He later gained admission to the University of Jos to study Zoology but had to drop out due to financial constraints following the death of his parents. This setback led him to pursue his passion for music more seriously
Career
Ice Prince’s musical career began in 1998, and by 2002, he had formed the “Ecomog Squad.” In 2004, he joined the “Loopy Crew,” which included notable artists like M.I and Jesse Jagz. His debut single, “Extraordinary,” released in 2004, gained significant airplay.
In 2010, he signed with Chocolate City and released his debut album, Everybody Loves Ice Prince, featuring the hit single “Oleku.”
In 2015, he founded his own label, Super Cool Cats, and has since remained a significant figure in the Nigerian music industry.
He followed up with Fire of Zamani in 2013, which included tracks like “Aboki” and “More.” In 2015, he established Super Cool Cats and released his third studio album, Jos to the World, in 2016.
