Early Life
Joshua Mike-Bamiloye, popularly known as Jaymikee, was born on November 7, 1991, in Ilesha, Osun State, Nigeria. He grew up in Ibadan and is the second son of renowned gospel drama ministers Mike and Gloria Bamiloye.
He attended Bodija High School before studying Mass Communication at Bowen University in Iwo. Growing up in a faith-filled and creative home, Joshua developed a passion for music, art, and media early in life.
Career
Jaymikee began his music journey at the age of 14, developing his skills in songwriting and music production. His breakout moment came through impactful gospel songs like Hello Hello Sister, I Will Love, and Adara, which gained wide recognition.
He released several albums including One Man Nation, Heaven, A Living Sacrifice, Rebirth, and Generation Next (Volumes 1 and 2). He produces all his music under Mount Zion Music Studios, where he contributes to the media ministry founded by his parents.
Beyond music, Joshua is a multi-talented creative. He co-created the faith-based skit series Jay and Josh, which uses humor and biblical lessons to engage younger audiences. He also excels as a background music composer for gospel films, a portrait artist through his brand Jaymikee Art, and a skilled graphic designer and cartoonist with a growing portfolio of Christian comic books.
In his personal life, Joshua married Tolulope on November 2, 2019. Together, they have two children Jason and a second child born in August 2024.
