Early Life
Neon Adejo Yunisa, born on October 24 in Ikoyi, Lagos State, is a Nigerian gospel singer, songwriter, and worship leader. He is the eldest of six children. Raised in a Muslim household, he later converted to Christianity a pivotal transformation that deeply influenced his music and life mission. Neon began singing at 13 and pursued music professionally from 2014.
He studied History and International Relations at Kogi State University, graduating in 2013. His early passion for worship and soul-stirring music paved the way for a remarkable career in gospel music.
Career
Neon’s debut album, Tell the World, released in 2020, introduced his unique sound a fusion of contemporary gospel and heartfelt worship. This was followed by Songs of Gratitude (2021), which featured powerful tracks like “Eze Ebube” and “Breathe Upon Me,” solidifying his presence in the gospel community. In 2022, he released Nothing But the Gospel, further establishing his message of grace, faith, and devotion.
He launched his second EP Emerge in 2023, reflecting a matured, refined sound. That same year, he received notable awards, including the Kingdom Achievers’ Award for Songwriter of the Year and The Headies’ Best Inspirational Single. Neon also leads Fire Nation Worship and hosts Christocentric Night Global, a worship event held across multiple continents.
In March 2025, Neon signed with Tribl Records, joining the ranks of global gospel artists under the label. He is the CEO of Kairos House Ltd. and founder of Blackcentury Music. In 2024, he married Lade Kehinde, marking a new personal chapter.
