Police officers arrested Nollywood actor Jerry Williams from his home in Delta State on Monday morning, July 21, 2025. Witnesses said officers, with the assistance of Nwafor Franklin popularly known as Izutech took Jerry from his residence and transported him to Benin, Edo State.
Actor Stanley Ontop went public with the news, sharing a video where he accused Izutech of masterminding the arrest. Stanley alleged that Izutech owed N2.5 million, money he reportedly collected from producers who wanted Jerry to appear in upcoming film projects.
Stanley didn’t hold back. He warned the public to hold Izutech responsible if anything happened to Jerry. “Izu stormed Jerry Williams’ house early this morning and bundled him to Benin with the help of some Nigeria police officers. Jerry is now in Izu’s custody. If anything happens to him, Izu must answer for it,” Stanley declared.
The arrest sparked concern because Jerry recently returned to Nollywood after stepping away for rehabilitation linked to substance abuse. Fans and colleagues welcomed him back with hope, making this incident even more alarming.
So far, neither the police nor Jerry Williams’ representatives have released an official statement. However, the Nollywood community continues to demand answers and transparency.
