Early Life

Abuchi Elijah Emedem, professionally known as Eli Jae, grew up in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. He was born April 7, 1997.  He discovered his passion for music at an early age, initially writing songs and singing backup for other artists. Over time, he developed a sound uniquely his own, blending elements of R&B, Afrobeats, and alternative music into a smooth, emotionally resonant style.

Career

Eli Jae launched his solo career in September 2023 with the release of his debut EP, “Blend.” The project earned praise from both fans and critics, with standout track “Most Beautiful” surpassing half a million streams. His follow-up singles, including “Me & You” and “All Over,” continued to build his reputation as one of Nigeria’s most promising new voices.

In 2025, Eli Jae released “Sexual Healing,” a sultry single from his upcoming project, Soundtrack to Great Sex. The track combines smooth R&B vocals with Afrofusion elements to explore themes of intimacy, passion, and connection. He followed this with “Your Body,” produced by LeriQ, further showcasing his versatility and lyrical depth.

Drawing inspiration from gospel roots, Afrobeat pioneers, and modern soul, Eli Jae crafts music that speaks to emotion, love, and vulnerability with stunning clarity.
