Zerrydl born as Divine Uzama, was born on December 4, 2002, in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. He grew up in a musically inclined family, sharing his passion for music with his two brothers: Shallipopi, a popular singer, and Osahon, his younger sibling. His early exposure to music was a family affair, with Zerrydl and Shallipopi frequently sharing their freestyles and song covers on social media starting as early as 2015.

Zerrydl’s international appeal reached new heights in 2024 with the release of his single “Back to Back” on September 23. It debuted at number 40 on the TurnTable 100 charts. The song also made a significant impact internationally, debuting at number 42 on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart. This marked Zerrydl’s first appearance on the Billboard charts, an achievement that showcased his growing influence in the global scene.
“Back to Back” also reached number 16 on the UK Official Afrobeats Chart, further amplifying Zerrydl’s presence in the international market.
