Early Life
Ayodele Enitan Vincent, known professionally as Ayo Vincent, was born on February 18, 1980, to Reverend Sunmbo Quashie and Felicia Bajulaiye. She grew up in Ojuelegba, Lagos, alongside six siblings.
Ayo attended Queens College in Yaba for her secondary education and later earned a B.Sc in Economics from Lagos State University. Her love for music began early, and by age eight, she had started singing. At twelve, she joined her school choir, where her passion for gospel music deepened.
Career
While studying at the university, Ayo became an active member of the Believers LoveWorld Campus Fellowship and served as the Music Director. She later joined the Christ Embassy Choir and eventually became a Zonal Music Director, shaping her music ministry.
In November 2012, she officially launched her music career with the debut album I Am Yours, which featured ten tracks and included collaborations with gospel artists like Joe Praize and Florocka. That same year, she released the single “You Are Great,” which became a breakthrough song.
In 2014, she followed up with “Serve the Lord” featuring Don Jazzy. Her single “Your Presence Is Here,” released in 2019, won Best Song of the Year at the LIMA Awards. Ayo has shared the stage with notable gospel figures such as Todd Dulaney, Sinach, Nathaniel Bassey, Ada Ehi, Mercy Chinwo, and LeCrae.
On June 30, 2023, she released her Supernatural EP, further solidifying her place in gospel music.
Ayo Vincent continues to shine as a powerful worship leader and gospel voice. Her music carries a strong message of faith, drawing listeners closer to God with every release.
