Bloody Civilian (Emoseh Khamofu), born in 1999 is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and musical producer who is signed to 0207 Def Jam, Def Jam Recordings’ UK branch. She is most noted for her two singles, “How To Kill A Man” and “Wake Up,” with Rema. Her collaboration with ODUMODUBLVCK on “Blood on the Dance Floor” is another reason for her notoriety. Early life

Bloody Civilian, who is originally from Taraba State, was influenced by her upbringing in the northern region of Nigeria, which is situated between Kaduna, Jos, and Abuja. Her parents forbade her from moving around and raised her in a traditional home.

Since she frequently participated in school talent contests where she sang original songs and people learned her lyrics, Emoseh was well-known in her school as a young person who could sing and play the guitar when she was a teenager. Subsequently, Emoseh began producing beats and sending them to rappers at her school. She progressively developed her own musical style and enhanced her production abilities. Everyone who knew her as a child assumed that she loved music as a hobby, except her dad who wanted her to study music in school.

She began creating songs at the age of eight, which she frequently gave to her parents. Emoseh’s father, who she claimed laid the groundwork for her early musical career, was once a musician traveler who played in a band. She was raised in a region in northern Nigeria where there is a lot of military conflict, which gave rise to the moniker “Bloody Civilian”.

CAREER IN MUSIC

In the beginning, Bloody Civilian worked as a record producer, creating mixes and beats for both herself and other artists. Nevertheless, she entered the music industry sometime in 2022 following the release of her popular song “How To Kill A Man”. Following her writing and production of the soundtrack song “Wake Up” featuring Rema for Black Panther Wakanda Forever, she gained further international recognition. She continued  to release other hit tracks like “I Don’t Like You”. She was nominated for “Rookie Of The Year” Award category at the 2023 Headies Awards.
