Early Life
Innocent Udeme Udofot, popularly known as MC Galaxy, was born on May 2, 1985. He gained national attention in 2012 after winning a dance competition organized by Nigerian superstar Davido. That victory introduced him to the entertainment scene, where he transitioned into music with a focus on Afropop and dance-inspired tracks.
Career
MC Galaxy founded his own record label, MCG Entertainment, to take full control of his creative and business journey. Under this label, he also released his debut single “Sekem” on March 19, 2014. The upbeat track quickly gained popularity for its catchy rhythm and accompanying dance moves. The official music video, directed by Patrick Ellis and released on June 23, 2014, accumulated millions of views and established MC Galaxy as a household name.
Two years later, he also dropped a remix of “Sekem” featuring international producer Swizz Beatz, blending Nigerian street vibes with global sounds. Known for his energetic style, MC Galaxy continued to build his catalog, working with acclaimed producers such as Tspize, Uhuru, and Shizzi.
On his birthday, May 2, 2019, he also released the single “Aliona,” celebrating both his career milestones and fan support. The track added to his growing list of dancefloor-ready hits.
MC Galaxy’s work reflects a fusion of music and dance, a combination that has kept him relevant in the dynamic Nigerian entertainment industry. Through MCG Entertainment, he continues to promote Afrobeat culture both locally and internationally.
