Early Life
Born on 12 March 1994 in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria, Habeeb Okikiola Badmus better known as Portable(Zazu) grew up surrounded by music. He developed a unique sound influenced by street culture and local rhythms. His breakthrough came after releasing the hit track “ZaZoo Zehh,” which featured Olamide and Poco Lee. The song quickly gained popularity and thrust him into the spotlight.
Career
Portable(Zazu) built a reputation as a bold and outspoken figure in Nigeria’s music scene. He sparked public attention when he accused his business associate, Kogbagidi, of scamming him in a management deal. The incident fueled online debates and solidified his image as a controversial figure.
In April 2023, Portable faced legal issues after ignoring a police summons related to an alleged assault. Authorities from the Ogun State Police Command arrested him, and he appeared in the Ifo High Court shortly after.
By February 2025, the Ogun State Police declared him wanted once again. This time, Portable turned himself in at the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Yaba.
Portable is a father to five children, each from different women. Among them is a son he shares with Nollywood actress Akinyanju Omobolarinde. Despite ongoing controversies, he continues to remain relevant in Nigeria’s dynamic music landscape.
