Early Life
Ojeogwu Samuel Danhillman, professionally known as Sammy West, is the brother of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels.He was born on 6 December 1996 in Ketu and grew up in Ikorodu, Lagos State.
Coming from a family with ties to the entertainment industry, he developed a passion for music early on and began exploring creative expressions through singing, performance, and songwriting. Alongside his music, he has also been vocal in defending his sister publicly.
He attended Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, where he studied Building Engineering. While pursuing his degree, he continued participating in campus music events, talent shows, and studio sessions, further refining his craft.
Career
Sammy West embarked on his music journey and has released several songs over the years. One of his notable tracks is “Bunye Men Ike (Bless Men)”, a collaboration with Method Blazer and Umu Obiligbo.
In 2022, he reshared a video of himself singing emotionally about domestic violence, highlighting how harmful relationships can destroy families
In 2025, he dropped a new single titled “Bolanle”, produced by XPOBEATS. According to his Apple Music profile, Sammy West has a body of work that includes a 2023 album titled Wonders of Westside, as well as singles and EPs such as “Behind” (feat. Chuvano), “God’s Time”, “Hercules”, and the EP Raw Gospel (Righteous and Worldly).
