Early Life

Oluwafemi Oladapo, professionally known as Slimcase, was born on August 22, 1982, in Ikorodu, Lagos State, Nigeria. He grew up in Lagos with his parents and completed his primary and secondary education in the city, obtaining both his first school leaving certificate and West African Senior School Certificate.

Career

Slimcase rose to prominence in the Nigerian music industry through his energetic performances and unique dance moves. He gained widespread recognition for featuring on D’banj’s single “Issa Banger” and Wizkid’s hit “Gucci Snake,” introducing the shaku shaku dance style to mainstream audiences. He became a key figure in the street pop genre, collaborating with top Nigerian artists including Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade, Mr Eazi, and 2Baba.

In 2018, Slimcase featured on the commercially successful single “Shepeterri” by Idowest, further cementing his presence in the Nigerian music scene. That same year, he received nominations for Best Street-Hop Artiste at The Headies and Best New Act at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards. He also won Best Collaboration at the City People Entertainment Awards, highlighting his ability to create hits alongside other artists.

Slimcase has established himself as a dynamic force in Nigerian music, blending street pop sounds with captivating dance moves. His collaborations and energetic performances continue to influence the music scene and inspire the next generation of entertainers.
