Nigerian singer Cynthia Morgan, now known as Madrina, has shared a sad and emotional post about her life. The singer said she feels like a clown for pretending to be happy while going through pain.

In a post on her Instagram story, Cynthia wrote about her struggles in the music industry. She said she made music under very harsh conditions but still managed to smile and act like everything was fine. According to her, she will never do such again because it almost destroyed her.

Cynthia explained that when she started to speak up about her problems, nobody believed her. She said even her family didn’t trust her words. The singer also revealed that when she broke down, people started saying she was using drugs. They even claimed she spent all her money on drugs, but in reality, she did not even have money.

She wrote, “Cynthia Morgan was obviously a clown…she made music through the harshest conditions and smiled through it all. Never again. To the extent that nobody believed her when she started to speak up, my family didn’t even believe me. When I broke down, they said it was drugs…all because I was too strong. They said I used my money for drugs…money wey I no see? May God forgive all of you. I have cried my eyes out this morning, and God knows the people, it will never be well with.”

Cynthia’s post comes after she recently called out singer May D. She warned him never to call her phone to tell her about his struggles because she never told him about hers. Their clash started after May D spoke about her issues with their former label boss, Jude Okoye.

In 2020, Cynthia accused Jude Okoye of taking over her social media accounts and taking away her name after she left his label. Jude denied the claims. Since then, Cynthia has been fighting to return to the music scene. Last month, she opened a GoFundMe page to support her comeback.

Her recent post shows that she is still hurting. Many fans have reacted to her words, with some praying for her healing while others asked her to keep pushing and never give up.
