Nollywood star Kate Henshaw is speaking her mind about the recent airport security incident involving Fuji legend King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, a.k.a. Kwam1. The actress took to X to express her frustration, labeling the entire situation as another example of “anyhowness” in Nigeria.

The controversy surrounds Kwam1’s recent run-in with ValueJet staff at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja. Reports claim the musician attempted to board a flight with a flask of liquid, allegedly refusing to comply with security checks. The situation escalated, with accusations that he spilled the liquid on an airline officer and even tried to physically block the aircraft on the tarmac.

Henshaw’s sharp criticism focuses on what she sees as a double standard. She questioned how a passenger could get so close to an aircraft that was ready for takeoff. Her quote, “If na ordinary Nigerian like me, agenda go agend,” perfectly captures the sentiment that a non-celebrity would have faced immediate and severe consequences.

The incident has stirred a major reaction from aviation authorities. The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has not only petitioned the Attorney-General of the Federation and the Inspector-General of Police to investigate and prosecute Kwam1, but has also recommended placing him on a no-fly list.

While Kwam1 has since apologized and denied carrying alcohol, insisting his flask contained only water, the public and figures like Kate Henshaw are highlighting a serious issue with aviation protocol and accountability.
