A private investigation into the medical facilities selected by Wunmi Aloba, widow of the late singer Mohbad, has raised questions about their capacity to provide the required DNA services. According to online sources, the international facilities chosen allegedly cannot process the specific samples needed for the paternity test of her son, Liam Aloba.
The investigation revealed that one facility, when contacted regarding a test using tissue from an embalmed body, reportedly said they do not offer such services. A second hospital allegedly confirmed that they do not provide such a service.
These developments come after a legal mandate requiring both Wunmi and her father-in-law, Mr. Joseph Aloba, to conduct tests at facilities of their choice.
Mr. Joseph Aloba expressed satisfaction with the court’s multi-facility approach:
“I am pleased that we will have three places. It is okay by me.”
However, he also made allegations regarding his son’s death, claiming:
“the widow of my son is responsible for the singer’s demise.”
He supported this by citing a voice note where Mohbad reportedly told Wunmi:
“if you take my life, you cannot take the lives of every member of my family.”
Wunmi Aloba has maintained her transparency and cooperation. She addressed her father-in-law directly, stating:
“To my father-in-law, you can get as many lawyers as you want from anywhere in the world; one thing that’s certain is that you can’t manipulate this DNA. I’m sorry.”
Regarding the legal process, she added:
“We have cooperated from Day 1. We have never opposed a DNA test. We showed up. We waited. We followed the law,”
“the only people delaying this process are the same people who requested it.”
Fans have raised concerns, asking why the DNA process is delayed and why Wunmi cannot share the circumstances surrounding her husband’s death.
The case remains open as the public awaits official confirmation from the court-appointed laboratories.
