Early Life
Jaiye Kuti was born Durojaiyeola Oluwakemi Kuti in Ilaro, Ogun State, Nigeria, to Rufus Adisa Oluwale. She attended Ikorodu Grammar School for her secondary education.
She studied Secretarial Administration at the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, and later earned a bachelor’s degree in English Language from the University of Lagos.
Career
Jaiye Kuti launched her acting career in 2002 with the TV series Laff Patterns. Over the years, she has appeared in popular shows and films such as Everyday People, Face to Face, Spiders, Ashewo Airport, and Si Gbogbo Okunrin.
She is the CEO of Jaylex Aesthetic Productions, a company that produces television, video, and film content. In 2016, she was appointed an ambassador of the Lagos State Polytechnic in recognition of her contribution to Nollywood.
In 2025, Kuti expanded into real estate with the launch of TerraHive Properties Limited, focusing on residential and luxury estates. She celebrated the company’s launch on her birthday, linking her storytelling experience from acting to her new community‑building venture.
She has also worked as a fashion brand ambassador, partnering with HOPE By Kiki Okewale. Jaiye Kuti continues to lead and inspire in Nollywood, blending her talents as an actress, producer, and entrepreneur.
