Early Life
Maurice Samuel Oluwaseun, known professionally as Maurice Sam, was born on 12 March 1990 in Nsit Ibom, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. He is of Igbo descent and was raised alongside a brother and sister, being the eldest of the three. His father runs a logistics company in Lagos, while his mother is a homemaker. He began his acting journey as a young man in his church drama group, an early stage that helped shape his interest in performance long before it became a career.
Career
Maurice Sam’s profile rose significantly when he landed the role of Acid in the popular Nigerian TV series ‘Hustle,’ a performance that showcased his talent to a much wider audience and opened up further opportunities across the industry. Since then, he has built a filmography of more than 100 Nollywood films and television series, becoming known for his powerful, charismatic screen presence, particularly in romantic dramas.
