Early Life
Nazo Ekezie, born on December 22, 1990, grew up as the second of four children in her family. She attended the Federal Government Girls College in Lejja, Nsukka, located in Enugu State, where she completed her secondary education. She later earned a bachelorโs degree in English and Linguistics from Ebonyi State University, laying a strong academic foundation for her future career in media and storytelling.
Career
Nazo Ekezie launched her acting career around 2009 and 2010, entering Nollywood with a clear sense of direction and purpose. Her breakthrough came when she played a role in the film Thanks for Coming, produced by renowned filmmaker Uche Nancy. This role earned her recognition and helped her gain traction in the highly competitive industry.
In 2017, her talent received formal acknowledgment when she won the City People Movie Award for Best Upcoming Actress of the Year (English) at the eighth edition of the event.
Ekezie expanded her creative reach in 2018 when she produced her own film titled Flawed. In this project, she starred alongside respected Nollywood actors such as Ebele Okaro, Mofe Duncan, and Bolaji Ogunmola. The movie showcased not only her acting talent but also her skill as a producer, affirming her as a multi-talented force in the industry.
She also established Unoaku Production Company, through which she channels her creative projects and continues to contribute to Nollywoodโs growth.
On a lighter note, Ekezie captured public attention on November 26, 2020, when she boldly asked Nigerian music producer Don Jazzy out on a date via social media. He responded positively, sparking widespread media buzz.
With a growing list of accomplishments, Nazo Ekezie continues to make her mark as one of Nollywoodโs promising talents.
