Early Life
Venita Akpofure was born on January 1, 1987, in the United Kingdom. Although born abroad, she hails from Delta State, Nigeria. She spent part of her childhood in Benin City, Edo State, where she attended Our Lady of Apostles for her primary education. She later returned to the UK and studied Accounting at the University of Hertfordshire.
Career
Venita Akpofure began her entertainment career as a video vixen, appearing in popular music videos such as 2Face Idibia’s “Ihe Ne Me” and Skales’ “Mukulu,” with the latter earning her notable attention. She also played the role of Mimi in the TV sitcom AY’s Crib.
Her breakthrough came when she joined the fourth season of Big Brother Naija, where she became one of the most talked-about housemates. Although evicted on Day 41, she solidified her place in the Nigerian entertainment scene. In 2023, she returned as a housemate for the Big Brother Naija All-Stars season.
Beyond television, Venita played the lead role of Nengi in Africa Magic’s drama series Unmarried. She has also worked as a brand ambassador for First City Monument Bank, Martini Rose, Mouka Foam, and Hawaii Soap, sharing the latter role with Mercy Eke and Sophie Alakija.
