Early Life
Oberz born Oni Olayinka on 5 October 1995 comes from Ogun State but grew up in Lagos, Nigeria. He completed his primary and secondary education in Lagos. Later, he earned a degree from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB).
Career
Oberz began officially building his music career when Zlatan Ibile announced him as a signeeto Zanku Records. His introductory single “Suffer” marked his entry.
Since then, Oberz has released several tracks blending Afrobeat, Afro‑fusion, and R&B. He has featured on label projects and dropped songs such as “Unripe Pawpaw,” “Champion,” “Ezinne,” “Hottest,” “In The Game,” “Number 1,” “Faaji,” among others.
With his energetic style, versatility, and growing fan base (who call themselves the “Vibraniums”), Oberz continues to carve out a steady place in the Nigerian music industry.
He stands out as a young, talented, and evolving Nigerian artist. With skills as a singer, songwriter, and producer, he fuses Afrobeat and Afro‑fusion to deliver music that resonates widely. As he continues to release new tracks and grow his audience, Oberz remains one of Nigeria’s promising rising stars.
